Mrs. Amy Lytle
My name is Amy Lytle. I am a Life Skills Teacher at Northern Cambria Elementary. This is my 3rd year at NCSD!
I attended Saint Francis University where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary/Special Education and my Master's degree in education.
I absolutely LOVE teaching Life Skills. The primary goal of life skills education is to help these individuals with special needs navigate social interactions and, hopefully, pursue employment someday. More importantly, teaching basic life skills to students with special needs helps to foster independence, builds self confidence in developing their capabilities and gives them a sense of belonging to the community. In OUR classroom, I provide my students with hands on learning activities and experiences designed to help them reach their greatest potential -in the areas of intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth.
