Cambria …

Five students earned the right to represent Northern Cambria at the regional level competition held at
Mt. Aloysius College on May 16 th . The IU8 representative remarked that this year’s competition
consisted of the most participating schools sending the largest contingent of mathematicians since the
IU8 accepted control.

Northern Cambria’s five students were:
7 th -8 th grade level: Peyton Myers and Amanda Perrone
6 th grade level: Tyler Bradley
4 th -5 th grade level: Alayna Stanton and Delilah Nave

These young mathematicians completed a successful tournament. All five earned medals.
Amanda and Alayna earned table medals … bronze medals.
Peyton, Tyler, and Delilah solved their way to their grade level’s semi-final round which earned them
silver medals.  The semi-final round … the silver medal round … consisted of the top 16 students at each level.

Peyton solved successfully in the semi-final round to earn a gold medal.  This earned him a spot in the final round. The final round consisted of the top 4 students in each level of competition.
Congratulations to all five of you … Congratulations to an AWESOME … SUCCESSFUL group of young mathematicians!!!!

Be Proud Northern Cambria!

A special moment of recognition is given to Peyton. He has represented Northern Cambria at the competition for all four years Northern Cambria has participated. He has earned four silver medals (every year he has scored in the top 16), three gold medals (meaning he has scored in the top 4), one regional level trophy – top scorer at his level, and a bronze medal at the state level.

Peyton, as you take your skills to the high school and eventually life, SOLVE ON !!!!
